I knew Angela Cropper only through others who knew her and the stories, both publicly and privately told. They were all stories about a woman who was at once strong and stoic and gentle and vulnerable. Powerfully standing up for the rights of others, but so deeply saddened by the inability of her country to transition to the kind of development of which she knew it was capable and for which she and other were working so hard that she had to a hiatus. If I never met her and felt her presence and worth so deeply, I can only imagine the loss felt by those who did. I sincerely wish for her in her passage from this life, a peace that surpasses all understanding. I really do.
